Case & Construction
40.8 mm diameter & 8.1 mm thick CNC-machined forged dual-tone quartz carbon fibre case keeps the same size as the original one. The material results in a special cloud-flow pattern for each watch and allows reducing the weight dramatically compared with steel, making a watch feel like without any mass on the wrist. Bezel and lugs are made of carbon fibre with selected metal accents.
Dial
Original Aquanaut embossed grid pattern with subdued black-grey finish that matches the carbon fibre case. There are luminous hour markers and hands for legibility; the date window at 3 o’clock is kept.
Bezel
Completely made of carbon fibre, part of the case assembly with selected metal accenting that reflects the original Aquanaut design elements.
Strap
Original Aquanaut fluoroelastomer rubber strap with factory interface and folding clasp. The strap hugs the wrist nicely and can be worn every day and while being physically active; unlike many aftermarket Velcro strap versions it retains the original design language.
Buyer FAQ
Q: What are the differences between the carbon fibre and steel case weights?
A: The forged quartz carbon fibre reduces weight of the watch dramatically compared with the stainless-steel 5167 model, keeping the original dimensions of 40.8 mm × 8.1 mm.
Q: Is each carbon fibre case unique?
A: Yes. The forged dual-tone quartz carbon fibre creates a cloud-flow pattern that is unique for each watch.
Q: Does the strap differ from common aftermarket carbon-fibre Aquanaut versions?
A: This DiW specification retains the original Aquanaut fluoroelastomer rubber strap with factory interface and folding clasp, rather than converting to a Velcro-style strap.
Q: Is the original Aquanaut rubber strap comfortable for all-day wear?
A: Yes. The fluoroelastomer strap uses the factory interface and folding clasp, conforming closely to the wrist and remaining suitable for both daily commuting and more active use without the bulk of aftermarket conversions.
